Environmental Policy
D&G Varouhakis Pty Ltd t/a Pennoscan is committed to responsible environment management in our construction industry activities. We recognise the environmental impact that faces the construction industry and are committed to reduce these by having appropriate slurry control and waste disposal solutions.
Our Responsibility and Objective;
- Prevent pollution and reduce environmental impacts from our activities
- Minimise waste
- Dispose of site waste and slurry appropriately and in an environmentally conscience manner
- Reduce noise pollution by adhering to time zones (where applicable)
Pennoscan will;
- Train staff to adhere to our site waste disposal policy and ensure it is followed at all times
- Ensure adequate and appropriate waste disposal is available prior to attending site
- Ensure the use of Wetvac to collect slurry during coring and sawing
- Dispose of slurry in appropriate waste disposal system
- Ensure the use of Filtration systems on all Wetvacs when dry cutting/coring. This will heavily filter any dust produced which will minimise its environmental impact.
- Continue to monitor and implement industry and environmental regulations and ensure policies are updated and staff are trained.
